Hi there, I’m Rasco! 🐾
I was surrendered to the shelter following a separation. I’m a Boxer and Cane Corso mix, with a wonderful personality all my own!
I’m a very sociable dog who loves human company and eagerly seeks their attention. I also have a lot of energy and am quite sensitive to my surroundings. So I’m looking for a family that will understand my needs and support me with patience.
A family with experience with energetic, large dogs would be ideal for me. Children aged 13 and older would be a good fit, since my enthusiasm and jumping around might be a bit much for younger kids.
I haven’t been tested with other dogs or cats yet. A preliminary meeting will be necessary if you already have a dog at home.
I’ll need a home with a large fenced yard or easy access to open spaces. Apartment or condo living isn’t right for me, since I tend to bark. I’d also like a family that’s home most of the time and can include me in their daily routine.
With my boundless energy, I’d love to go on beautiful hikes, long walks, and activities that challenge my mind as much as my body! 🌲🎾 Enrichment plays and chew toys are also must-haves for me.
I have a few small challenges to work on: learning to walk more calmly on a leash, limiting my jumping, and better managing my barking. New environments can also make me feel a little uneasy. With positive training and consistency, I’ll be able to make progress!
I’m a loving companion with so much to offer. If you love active dogs and are ready to help me channel all this wonderful energy, I can’t wait to meet you! 💛
