Hi there, I’m Lucky! 🐾

I was brought to the shelter, and I’m probably a Labrador mix. I’m a big, sensitive dog who needs time to feel safe. Even though I’m very nervous, you can quickly tell that I enjoy human company and that it reassures me when someone stays calmly by my side 💛

I’m looking for a family with experience with very fearful dogs who is willing to gently guide me through my learning process. A home without children will be essential for me, since I need a calm, predictable environment without too much movement or noise. I also prefer to be the only pet in the house, though I might eventually tolerate a very calm dog with gradual introductions and plenty of supervision.

Apartment living wouldn’t suit me, as noises and comings and goings easily stress me out. A quiet house with a fenced yard will be important to help me build confidence at my own pace. Long absences may also be difficult for me. At first, I’ll be more comfortable gently exploring the yard and bonding with my family rather than setting off on big adventures 🌿🦴

I still have a few small challenges to work on, such as my tendency to want to run away when I’m anxious and my difficulty relaxing in new environments. With patience, consistent routines, and the help of a professional dog trainer, I’ll be able to make steady progress.
