Beignet

Hi there, I’m Beignet! 🐾

I was surrendered to the shelter, and my breed mix is unknown.

I’m a young dog who’s curious, sociable, and playful and am still discovering the world! I’m looking for a family willing to invest time in my training and to be there for me consistently as I learn good habits.

A family with preferably some experience with puppies would be ideal for me. Around young children, my enthusiasm might lead me to jump, nip, and bump into them; so older children would be preferable. Close supervision and safety gates will be essential on a daily basis.

I can get along with another dog, ideally of the opposite sex. Introductions will need to be gradual, with breaks and time apart as needed. I might become more selective with certain dogs as I get older. I haven’t been tested with cats or other animals yet: a very gradual introduction will be necessary.

I’m looking for a present and available family, especially at first, since long absences could cause me stress. A fenced-in yard would be a great asset, as would access to wide-open spaces for my walks.

I love learning, exploring, and sharing activities with my family! 🌲🎾🦴 Walks, hikes, playtime, mental stimulation, and chew toys will be good ways to meet my needs. Regular training sessions will also help me become a well-balanced companion.

My little challenges? Potty training, walking calmly on a leash, limiting jumping and barking, and learning to manage my emotions. I might also have my famous moments of puppy craziness!
