Hi there, I’m Zaurak! 🐾

I was found as a stray, and I’m a small terrier mix. I’m very sensitive and need time to build trust. Once I feel safe, I’ll be able to slowly discover the joy of bonding with my family.

I’m looking for an adult-only family with experience with fearful dogs or who is willing to work with a professional dog trainer. The early days will need to be calm and predictable, with regular human presence to help me adjust. I’m not recommended for families with children, as I can get very nervous around new situations and need plenty of space to feel safe.

I haven’t been tested with cats yet. As for other dogs, I might get along with some, but I can also be picky! A preliminary meeting will be necessary; ideally, I’d live alone or with a calm, mature dog, with very gradual introductions.

A quiet house with a fenced yard would be perfect for me. An apartment or condo isn’t a good fit, since surrounding noises can make me nervous. I’ll also need to avoid long periods of being left alone while I’m adjusting.

I don’t need a very active lifestyle, but rather a gentle and reassuring daily routine. Quiet playtime indoors or in the yard, chewing 🦴, and activities that let me build confidence at my own pace will be great ways to help me.

For now, new environments, strangers, and certain noises are small challenges for me. With patience, consistency, and the right guidance, I’ll be able to progress at my own pace.

I’m a little dog who needs people to respect my pace rather than expecting too much of me too quickly. If you’re that calm, patient family ready to let me discover the world at my own pace, I might just need you to start this new chapter of my life. 💕
