Hi there, I’m Hestia! 🐾

I was found as a stray, and I’m a lovely mix with several traits reminiscent of a Dutch Shepherd or a German Shepherd.

I’m a young, curious, sociable dog who’s bursting with energy! I love to see and discover everything, and I’m especially motivated by treats and attention. However, I get excited easily, so I need a family that can help me learn to calm down.

I’d be a good fit for a family that already has experience with young, high-energy dogs and is comfortable continuing my training. I’m not recommended for children 12 and under, as I jump and can be very enthusiastic in my interactions. With other dogs, I can be a good companion, and I was found with another dog. A meet-and-greet will be necessary, and I wouldn’t be the best match for an older dog looking for a quiet home. My compatibility with cats hasn’t been tested.

I’m looking for a home with a fenced yard and a family that’s home most of the time. Apartments or condos aren’t ideal for me since I can be vocal. I need an environment where I can move around, explore, and learn within a well-established routine.

Long walks, hikes, and eventually a dog sport would be perfect for me! 🌲🏃 I also need mental stimulation, plays, and appropriate chew toys to channel all this wonderful energy.

My little challenge? I’m still learning to keep all four paws on the ground, not to nip, and to walk well on a leash. With consistency and positive training, I’ll be able to make progress.
