Solstice

Hi there, I’m Solstice! 🐶

I was found as a stray and I’m probably a Husky. I’m a lively, curious, and very sociable dog who loves being in the thick of things and watching everything that’s going on around me. I really enjoy interacting with people and I’m quick to come over for attention and cuddles.

I’m looking for a family with some experience with Nordic-type dogs, so they can help manage my energy and my tendency to want to explore everywhere. I could live with school-aged children or older, since I can get very excited and love to jump up to say hello.

I could live with another calm and well-balanced dog, preferably of the opposite sex, but a gradual introduction and supervision will be important at first. I haven’t been tested with cats.

Long absences cause me stress, so I’d be happiest with people who are home for most of the day. I also need a spacious and secure environment, as a space that’s too confined or too chaotic doesn’t suit me. An active home that can offer me stability and companionship would be ideal for me.

I love activities where I can move around and use my energy 🏃‍♂️🌲, such as long walks, running, or plays that also stimulate my mind. I also really enjoy chewing and spending quality time with my humans.

My little challenge is that I can be a bit intense in my interactions, and I sometimes have trouble staying calm when I’m excited or curious. With consistency, guidance, and a good routine, I’ll be able to make progress.
