Hi there, I’m Rubis! 🐾

I was found as a stray along a busy road, and I’m probably a cute Yorkshire mix.

I’m a curious, affectionate little dog who’s eager to explore the world. New environments can make me a little nervous, but with gentleness and a little patience, I gain confidence and show my playful side!

I’d be a great fit for a family adopting their first dog. I’m looking for caring people who are ready to help me learn and provide me with a reassuring routine. School-aged children or older would be best, since very young children—with their sudden movements or crying—might startle me.

As for living with other pets, a preliminary meeting with another dog—ideally a calm male—will be important. As for cats, I haven’t been tested with them yet.

I’d appreciate a home with a yard or frequent outings, in a fairly quiet environment where I can adjust at my own pace. Long periods of being left alone might be more difficult for me at first.

I love exploring with my nose! 🌿 Walks where I can sniff out all the smells in the neighborhood or at a park are pure happiness. I also love playing indoors or in the yard, as well as chew toys, which help keep me occupied. 🦴

My little challenge? I tend to pull on the leash when something catches my attention, and I can get a little stressed in new situations. With gentle training and consistency, these behaviors can be worked on.
