Hi there, I’m Popsicle! 🐾

I was found as a stray, and I’m a black Labrador. I’m an energetic, curious dog who’s very food-motivated! I love exploring with my nose, but I also enjoy cuddles and spending time with people.

I could be a first dog for a family willing to help me learn new things. I’m a good fit for children ages 6 and up, since my enthusiasm and jumping might be too sudden for younger kids. An active family that’s around a lot and wants to include me in their daily life would be ideal.

I really like other dogs and am eager to meet them. A preliminary meet-and-greet will be necessary to ensure that living together works out for everyone. I haven’t been tested with cats yet.

A fenced yard is highly recommended so I can move around and explore safely. I’m energetic and love participating in my family’s activities.

Hikes, long walks, and trips to the park are perfect for me! 🌲🏃 Since my nose is always ready for an adventure, food-hunting plays and mental enrichment activities are especially interesting to me. Chewing toys can also help keep me occupied.

My little challenge? I still have a lot to learn: I jump, I pull on the leash, and I can be a little nervous around people I don’t know. With treats and a little time, I quickly become more comfortable. Veterinary care will also be important to help me regain optimal physical condition through gradual weight loss.

I’m a cheerful, curious, and lovable companion who has a lot to offer an active family. If you love adventures, walks, and dogs who are always sniffing around, we’ll probably get along great! ❤️
