Hi there, I’m Kit Kat! 🐾
I was found as a stray, and I’m a young shepherd-type mixed-breed dog. I’m gentle, affectionate, and pretty calm for my age. I love being around people, and once I feel comfortable, I’m curious, playful, and always up for exploring!
I’m looking for a family with experience with shy dogs who can help me build confidence at my own pace. I get along well with children ages 6 and up who can respect my need for gentleness and approach me calmly, without sudden movements.
I’m compatible with other dogs and might even thrive with a confident canine companion who could help me discover the world with confidence. A preliminary meeting will be necessary. I haven’t been tested with cats yet.
A fenced yard is highly recommended so I can explore safely. I’d love a family that’s home most of the time, who can accompany me on my adventures and provide a reassuring environment. A house in the countryside might also appeal to me!
I love long walks, hikes, and plays that let me burn off my energy at my own pace. 🌿🎾 I also love exploring my surroundings and running around when I get excited! Enrichment activities and appropriate chew toys will help me learn while having fun.
My little challenge? New places and unfamiliar people can intimidate me at first. With patience, encouragement, and a few treats, however, I can start to relax and show my wonderful personality. I’ll also need to continue learning house training and basic commands.
I’m a sensitive little companion full of potential, just waiting for a caring family to help me thrive. If you’d like to help me gain confidence and watch me grow, I can’t wait to meet you! 💛
