Hi there, I’m Azalée! 🐾

I was found as a stray and I’m probably a Rottweiler. I’m a big, curious, smart girl who’s always busy exploring the world with my nose! When I’m outside, I can easily forget everything else just to sniff every scent in my path. Despite my independent streak, I also really love affection and being around people.

I’m looking for a family that has previously owned large-breed dogs or dogs that require firm guidance. Since I’m strong, energetic, and still a bit clumsy with my emotions, I’d be more comfortable in a home with teenagers or adults only.

With other dogs, it depends a lot on how we’re introduced and the other dog’s temperament. I might get along well with certain calm companions, ideally of the opposite sex, but it will take time to do things right. I haven’t been tested with cats or other animals.

Apartment living wouldn’t suit me, as I can be vocal and need space to move around and burn off my energy. A house with a large fenced yard or access to open spaces would be perfect for me. Long absences stress me out a bit, so I’m looking for a family that’s present and willing to invest time in my training.

I love walks where I can sniff around 🌲, play in the yard 🎾, and activities that challenge my mind as much as my body. On a leash, I pull a lot and can get very excited when something catches my attention, but with patience and guidance, these are challenges we can work on.
