Adamo
All our dogs are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed.
For dog adoptions, all members of the household must be present at the meeting, including your other dogs if you have any.
Hi there, I’m Adamo! 🐾
I was found as a stray, and after my former owner was located, he decided to surrender me to the shelter. I’m a gorgeous Cocker Spaniel with a heart-melting gaze and a very gentle temperament.
I’m a sociable dog who loves being around people. I enjoy saying hello to people, getting petted, and spending time with those who take care of me. New environments can sometimes make me a little anxious, but I quickly feel at ease when someone offers me a little tenderness and comfort. 💖
I’d be a great fit for a family adopting their first dog! Children of all ages could be part of my new life, keeping in mind that I sometimes tend to jump when I’m happy to meet someone.
I haven’t been tested with cats. With other dogs, I prefer calm companions, and a gentle introduction will be important, since very excitable dogs or barking can intimidate me.
An active family that’s always around would be ideal for me. I’d also need easy access to the outdoors so I can enjoy regular walks and gradually get back to a healthy weight. Leisurely walks, playing in the yard, chewing on treats, and—most of all—long cuddle sessions are some of my little sources of happiness. 🌿🦴
My little challenge? I still need to build confidence in unfamiliar places and learn to control my enthusiasm when I meet people. With a reassuring routine and positive encouragement, I’ll continue to thrive.
I’m available for humanitarian adoption because of my age. I’m also a bit overweight and have some tartar buildup; gradual weight loss and a dental cleaning would be beneficial for my health. In return, I’ll offer you all the affection and loyalty a companion like me can give. I can’t wait to find my forever home! 🏡💕
*“Humanitarian adoption” means that the animal has special health or behavioral needs. Exceptionally, a $100 discount on the adoption fee for these dogs is available through August 31 to help them find a family. In such cases, the 10-day health guarantee offered by the SPCAO does not apply.
