Hi there, I’m Vanille! 🐾
I was found as a stray, and I’m a Pyrenean Mountain Dog mixed with a Golden Retriever. I’m a calm, gentle, and fairly independent dog. I like to take my time observing my surroundings, and I’m much more relaxed when I’m in an environment where I feel safe.
I’m looking for a family with experience with nervous and independent dogs, who will respect my pace and give me time to adjust. I’m not compatible with children 12 years old and younger, as I’m looking for a calm and predictable daily routine.
I prefer to be the only dog in the house. I can be selective around certain dogs during walks, but I can easily look away when I see them in the distance. I haven’t been tested with cats yet.
A home in a quiet neighborhood would suit me particularly well, with few visitors, little coming and going, and minimal loud noises. I’d also like a family that’s home most of the time, who can gradually help me explore my surroundings.
Leisurely walks in the park are perfect for me 🌿. I also enjoy enrichment activities that let me think at my own pace, as well as appropriate chew toys. Outdoors, I’m generally much more relaxed and can take treats, sit down, and enjoy my surroundings.
My little challenge? New places and unfamiliar people can make me nervous. I’ll need patience and gentle guidance to build my confidence, especially in smaller spaces.
I’m a calm, observant, and sensitive dog who will reveal even more of my personality over time. If you’re looking for a laid-back companion and are willing to respect my pace, I might just have a wonderful home with you. 🏡
