Hi there, I’m Gaïa! 🐾

I was found as a stray and am probably a mix of Golden Retriever and Shepherd.

I’m a young, curious, affectionate, and energetic dog. I love being around people and will happily come over to cuddle and get some pets. Like many teenagers, I get excited easily and still have a lot to learn!

I’d be a great fit for a first-time family willing to invest in my training and provide me with a stable routine. I’m looking for an active home where people are present every day and comfortable with training. Because of my enthusiasm and my sometimes slightly abrupt bursts of energy, I’d be more comfortable with teenagers or adults.

I could live with another dog—ideally a male—after a preliminary meet-and-greet. I’m curious about other dogs and enjoy going to meet them. However, I haven’t been tested for compatibility with cats.

A home with a large, fenced-in yard or access to open spaces will be important to me. Living in an apartment or condo wouldn’t suit me, since I can be vocal when I’m excited or stressed.

I need a family that loves to be active as much as I do! Long walks, hikes, dog sports, puzzle games, and chew toys will help me channel my energy and thrive. 🌲🦴

My little challenge will be learning to better manage my excitement. I might pull on the leash, jump up to say hello, or nibble on the leash when I’m excited, but with consistency, a routine, and the right guidance, I’ll make great progress.
