Hi there, I’m Capucine! 🐾

I was found as a stray and am probably a Pyrenean Mountain Dog mix. People often say I’m a gentle soul—a bit reserved, curious, and very food-oriented. I like to stay close to people when I feel comfortable, and I calm down easily with a few strokes and a little patience.

I’m looking for a family with experience with large, independent breeds like mine. I could live with teenagers or older children, since my large size might make me a bit clumsy around younger kids. I usually get along well with other dogs if introductions are done calmly. In fact, I was found with another dog. I haven’t been tested yet with cats or other animals.

Apartment living wouldn’t suit me. Instead, I dream of a house with a large fenced yard, ideally in the countryside or with access to wide-open spaces 🌲. Long periods of being left alone might be difficult for me, so I’m looking for people who are present, calm, and ready to gently help me adjust.

I love leisurely walks, exploring scents, chewing on things, and enjoying the outdoors 🦴. I already know “sit” and take treats very gently. I’ll also need people to respect my pace in certain new situations. It’s a bit of a challenge for me, but with a gentle and consistent approach, I’ll be able to keep building my confidence.
