The SPCA de l’Outaouais is pleased to announce two low-cost cat spay and neuter clinics, which will take place on Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, June 7, 2026.

These one-time clinics aim to make spaying and neutering more accessible to low-income individuals, while making a tangible contribution to reducing cat overpopulation in our region.

A simple and accessible process

Since spots are limited, participants will be selected by random drawing from among those who have completed the registration form. It is important to submit only one registration per household; otherwise, the application may be withdrawn.

Each household may have one cat spayed or neutered.

Cost and services included

The fee is set at $80, including:

  • spaying or neutering
  • microchipping
  • basic vaccination (PCR)
  • deworming

You may decline the additional services, but the fee remains the same.

Eligibility requirements

These clinics are reserved for low-income individuals, according to the current eligibility guidelines. Proof of address will be requested on-site to confirm residency in the Outaouais region.

Cats must be in good health, weigh more than 1 kg, and be transported in a secure, appropriate carrier.

Mandatory Licence

All your pets’ licences must be up to date for your application to be eligible.

If this is not the case, you can renew them online now: https://spcaoutaouais.ca/en/licenses/

Schedule for the Day

Participants must be available between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on the day of their appointment. All details will be provided to those selected.

Interested parties have until 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, to complete the application form.

By offering these clinics, the SPCA de l’Outaouais continues its mission to support the community and improve animal welfare.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mondou for its invaluable financial support, which directly contributes to the success of this initiative and enables us to offer low-cost spay and neuter services to our community. 💙
