The shelter is overflowing. The situation is critical. With many animals expected to arrive in the coming weeks, we are desperately short of space.

To give our adult cats another chance to find a loving family, we are organizing a no fee adoption day:

📅 Date: Saturday, July 12, 2025

⏰ Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (exceptionally)

📍 Location: SPCA de l’Outaouais, 132 rue de Varennes, Gatineau

🐱 Adoption fees:

• Adult cats and humanitarian adoptions: $0
• Kittens: usual fee
• Dogs: regular fee

🔹 All our animals are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before adoption.

🔹 You can purchase everything you need to welcome your new friend (car carrier, accessories, toys) on site.

🔹 First come, first served—plan to wait to meet with an adoption counselor.

💡 Why organize such an event?

Because every animal deserves a family, and the data confirms it: no fee adoptions have no negative impact on the quality of adoptions. They simply save lives.
