Hi there, I’m Twix! 🐾

I was brought to the shelter and I’m a Labrador mix.

I’m a very sociable, curious, and energetic dog. I love people and often seek out interaction to get attention and cuddles. I also have an enthusiastic side that makes me want to see everything, smell everything, and be part of everything going on around me!

I’d be a good fit for a family with little or no experience, as long as they’re willing to actively engage in my training. I can live with children, but since I’m still a bit rough around the edges, supervision will be important, especially with younger kids.

I can get along with other dogs after an initial meeting, and I’ve also lived with cats before.

I’ll need a home with a fenced yard, as I have a lot of energy to burn. Apartment living isn’t for me, particularly because of my activity level and vocalizations. I love being around people, and long periods of being alone could be difficult for me. I’m also currently uncomfortable with stairs, so a home without stairs would be ideal, or a family willing to help me get used to them gradually.

I love long walks, exploring my surroundings, and getting both physical and mental exercise 🐕🌲. A variety of activities, plays, and chew toys will help me feel at ease.

A small challenge for me will be working on walking on a leash, my excitement, and my tendency to vocalize, especially when something catches my attention. With consistency and guidance, I’ll be able to learn to channel my energy better.

I’m currently being treated for a sterilization wound that got infected, but I’m in good hands.
