Hi there, I’m Twix! 🐾

I was brought to the shelter, and I’m probably a Labrador mix.

I’m a very sociable, curious, and energetic dog. I love interacting with people and being part of everything going on around me, but I still have a lot to learn about channeling all this wonderful energy.

I’ll be good for a motivated first-time family willing to help me with my training. With kids, I’d do best with older children, since my enthusiasm can be overwhelming and I might bump into them without meaning to.

I’m used to living with other dogs and cats, which is a big plus! However, a meet-and-greet with another dog beforehand will be important to ensure we get along.

I would need a home with a large fenced yard, as I have a lot of energy to burn and I love to move around. Apartment living isn’t right for me, both because of my need for space and my vocalizations.

I love long walks, exploring my surroundings, and using my sense of smell 🐕‍🦺🌲. Play, chewing, and activities that make me think are essential to help me feel good about myself.

My little challenge? I can pull on the leash, jump when I’m happy, and get a little loud, especially when something excites or intrigues me. With guidance, consistency, and appropriate activities, I’ll be able to make great progress.

I’m currently carrying a few extra pounds, so an active lifestyle and a balanced diet will help me get back in shape.
