Hi there, I’m Terra! 🐾

I was found as a stray and I’m a Pit Bull mix. I’m a sensitive dog who needs time to adjust to new situations. Once I feel comfortable, you’ll discover a curious companion who loves to explore her surroundings and is capable of forming a beautiful bond with people. 💛

I’m looking for a family with experience with anxious dogs or those who need time to adjust. I need patient adults who are willing to respect my pace and let me build trust without rushing me. A home with young children wouldn’t be a good fit for me, since I need a calm and predictable environment.

I’d prefer to be the only dog in the home so I can thrive. I haven’t yet been tested with cats or other small animals.

I’ll be happiest in a quiet home with minimal comings and goings and a fenced yard where I can safely enjoy the outdoors. I’d appreciate a family that’s there for me, who can support me as I adjust and gently continue my training.

I love using my sense of smell to explore, play in the yard, and enjoy activities that stimulate both my mind and my body. 🌿🦴 Puzzle toys, chew toys, and a consistent routine will help me gain confidence and feel comfortable.

My little challenge? I can pull hard on the leash, and big changes take me a while to adjust to. With patience, I’ve already made great progress at the shelter, and I’m continuing to gain confidence every day. I even know the commands “sit” and “shake” in English!
