Hi there, I’m Memphis! 🐾

I was found as a stray, and I’m an adorable Chihuahua-Papillon mix. I’m a sweet, sensitive little dog who just needs a little time to feel safe.

Once I trust someone, I really enjoy being around people and find comfort in their presence. However, new things, loud noises, and sudden movements can startle me, so I appreciate being allowed to take things at my own pace.

I could be an excellent first dog for a patient family willing to help me adjust gently. I could live with children, especially if they’re calm and respectful of my space. I’ll also need a quiet little spot where I can retreat when I want to rest.

I haven’t been tested with other dogs or cats yet. If you already have a dog, a meet-and-greet beforehand will be important to see if we get along.

A peaceful environment, with minimal comings and goings and loud noises, would be ideal for me. I’d also appreciate a family that’s around most of the time during my first few weeks, since long absences could make it harder for me to adjust. 🌿

I don’t need big adventures to be happy. Playing indoors or in the yard, chew toys, and spending time close to my family will be more than enough to meet my needs. 🦴

My little challenge? I can be shy around strangers and in new environments. I can also be a bit vocal, like many dogs of my breed. With gentleness, a reassuring routine, and positive reinforcement, I’ll gradually gain confidence.
