Hi there, I’m Maya! 🐶
I was brought to the shelter, and I’m likely a Pug mix (a small pug with that cute, flat little snout 🐽). That means I’m social, joyful, and love being around people more than anything else! I’m a true little loveball who absolutely melts for belly rubs and scratches… anywhere, anytime. ❤️
I’m a wonderful match for first-time dog owners 🏡, and I get along with everyone. I also enjoy the company of other dogs around my size 🐕, after a brief introduction to get to know each other. I haven’t been tested with cats yet 🐱, but it could work out if kitty has their own safe hiding spots and a space just for them.
My perfect match would be a family that is home most of the time, as I really don’t like being left alone for too long. Apartment living isn’t quite right for me because I tend to be a bit talkative! 🗣️ A fenced yard would be ideal for my potty breaks and playtime. Since I have a short snout, I prefer gentler exercise: short walks spread throughout the day 🚶♀️ and free play make me perfectly happy. 🌳 A harness is essential for my walks, as I have a tendency to pull quite hard.
I already know how to “sit” and “give paw” 🐾, but I still have a few good manners to learn—like not jumping on people just because I’m so excited to see them! With a little guidance, we can work on that easily. 📚
Affectionate, playful, and full of life, I’m looking for a gentle family that will keep me close to them. 💕 If you have time, tenderness, and plenty of cuddles to give, I just might be your Maya! 🐶🧡
