Hi, I’m Maxou! 🐾 I’m an affectionate cat who enjoys spending time with people. I love sharing moments with you, but I also have my limits: when I become overstimulated, I may sometimes respond with little nips. That’s why I’m looking for a calm and attentive family who can recognize when I need a break.
To help me settle in successfully, it will be important to respect my rest time and avoid prolonged petting sessions. Please watch for signs that I’ve had enough, such as a swishing tail, flattened ears, rippling skin or restlessness. If I show signs of discomfort, it’s best to stop interacting and give me space to relax. 💛
I’ll also need daily play sessions to help me use my energy appropriately, along with hiding spots, cat trees and quiet places where I can retreat whenever I need to. With people who respect my pace and needs, I’ll be able to enjoy your company to the fullest. 😸
I’m available through a fee-waived humanitarian adoption because of a heart murmur and excess weight. A veterinary consultation is recommended to establish a gradual weight-loss plan and a dental-care plan. A veterinary cardiologist consultation is also recommended to assess my heart murmur. ❤️
