Hi there, I’m Jackeye! 🐾

I was surrendered to the shelter, and I’m believed to be a Boxer and Cavalier mix.

I’m an affectionate, cheerful, and energetic dog who loves being around my humans. With people I don’t know, I can be a little shy at first. A gentle and patient approach helps me gain confidence at my own pace. 💛

I’d be a good fit for a first-time family, as long as they’re willing to support me with patience and consistency. I’m looking for a calm and predictable home with teenagers aged 13 and older, since my energy and tendency to jump can be hard for younger children to handle.

I haven’t been tested with other dogs or cats yet. A preliminary meeting will be necessary if you already have a dog, and living with a dog of the opposite sex is preferred.

I’d love to live in a house with a large, fenced-in yard, ideally in the countryside or near open spaces where I can enjoy the outdoors. I’m also looking for a family that’s home most of the time, since I’m not used to being alone for long periods.

I need to move around and do activities with my humans! Long walks, hikes, and play games are great ways to keep me happy. 🌲🦴 I’ll also appreciate activities that let me think and stay occupied.

I already know “sit,” but I still need to learn to keep all four paws on the ground when I meet people. New environments can also intimidate me; with patience and positive reinforcement, I’ll be able to gain confidence.
