Hi, I’m Gus the Loaf! 😊 I’m a gentle and laid-back cat who enjoys taking life at a slower pace. I also have a special talent: making the perfect little loaf! 🍞 You know, that adorable position where I tuck my paws underneath me and look just like a fluffy little loaf of bread? It’s kind of my signature move!
I was surrendered to the shelter, and I’m now looking for a family who will appreciate my calm personality and comforting presence. I’m available through our fee-waived humanitarian adoption program because of a few health considerations. I am FIV-positive (feline immunodeficiency virus), a virus that affects a cat’s immune system and can make them more vulnerable to certain infections. It is primarily transmitted between cats through deep bite wounds. However, FIV-positive cats can still live long, happy lives with a good quality of life! Regular veterinary checkups and paying close attention to their health are recommended.
I also have mild tartar buildup and mild gingivitis. A veterinary consultation is recommended to establish a dental care plan suited to my needs.
Looking for a gentle, peaceful companion to share quiet moments with? I might just become your favourite little loaf! I hope to find a home where I can feel loved and enjoy the simple comforts of everyday life. ❤️
*“Humanitarian adoption” means that the animal has special health or behavioral needs. The adoption fee for these cats is $0 at all times to help them find a family. In such cases, the 10-day health guarantee offered by the SPCAO does not apply.
