Hi, my name is Echo! 🐾

I was found as a stray in Gracefield by a kind citizen who described me as a very sweet little dog. I was a little shy at first, but my heart quickly warms up when I am given attention and time. Once I feel confident, I reveal myself to be lively, intense, and deeply endearing. 💗

I am probably a shepherd mix, with a very dynamic temperament. Previous experience with active dogs is highly recommended to keep up with me! I am looking for a home with adults only, as I play very roughly: I jump a lot and bite a lot. I love to pull on ropes, toys… and sometimes even clothes or arms! All of this can be worked on with guidance and a good structure.

Living with other dogs is possible with dogs that have the same play style and energy level. A companion would surely help me channel all my energy! Cats and other animals have not been tested.

My ideal family is very active and willing to invest time each day in my education and training. Classes with a professional dog trainer are highly recommended to channel my energy and develop my full potential. ✨

I would not be comfortable in an apartment or condo. A large fenced yard is highly recommended, with access to wide open spaces to move around. A house in the country or on a farm would be a dream come true for me! 🌲

I have high energy levels: I need 3 hours or more of exercise per day. Simple walks around the neighborhood will not be enough. I need long hikes in the woods, running, dog sports, stimulating plays, and lots of chewing. 🦴🧠

When it comes to handling and grooming, I’m comfortable: I’m not sensitive and let myself be handled easily.

Behaviors to work on include pulling on the leash, jumping up on people a lot, nipping and grabbing hands or clothes very hard, chewing on the leash, and doing zoomies. With clear structure, consistency, and appropriate activities, I progress quickly.

I am a small dog with a huge engine! People often say that I have the temperament of a Malinois in a small dog’s body. Intelligent, intense, and motivated, I would be a fantastic candidate for agility or obedience competitions.
