Hi there, I’m Crystal! 🐾

I was found wandering, and I’m probably a husky mix. True to my breed, I’m a great explorer who’s always on the lookout for what’s going on around me!

I’m an energetic, curious dog who’s very attuned to my surroundings. I love discovering new smells, observing my environment, and setting off on adventures. Here at the shelter, I tend to be more interested in exploring than in people, but that might change once I’m settled in a stable home.

I’m looking for an active family that’s familiar with husky-type dogs or more independent breeds. I’d be best suited for families with teenagers or older adults, since my energy and large size could accidentally knock over young children.

I can get along with other dogs. My interactions with some canine companions have gone very well when introduced gradually. I haven’t yet been tested with cats or other animals.

Apartment living wouldn’t suit me. I need a house with a fenced yard or access to large open spaces where I can burn off energy and satisfy my need to explore. An environment that can provide me with structure and a variety of activities would be ideal.

Long walks, hikes, dog sports, puzzle toys, and chew toys are excellent ways to meet my needs. 🌲🦴 I love having something to do and keeping my mind busy!

My little challenge? I can pull hard on the leash when something catches my attention, and I’d benefit from continued training to learn how to better channel my enthusiasm. With patience and consistency, I have all the potential to become an extraordinary companion.
