Hi there, I’m Mini! 🐾

I was brought to the shelter because my family had too many pets. I’m a beautiful mixed-breed guard dog, with German Shepherd, Rottweiler, and Pyrenean Mountain Dog in my lineage!

I’m a sensitive dog who’s made a lot of progress since I arrived. Once I gain confidence, I become very affectionate and really enjoy human interaction. However, I do need a little time to feel comfortable in new situations. ❤️‍🩹

I’m looking for a family that already has some experience with sensitive dogs and will give me time to adjust at my own pace. I’d be best suited to adults or teenagers, since information from my previous family suggests I might be protective of my food. Close supervision will therefore be important when I’m around my food.

I can live with other dogs, but a preliminary meeting will be necessary to ensure we’re compatible. 🐕 My compatibility with cats hasn’t been tested.

I’d do especially well in a home with a stable routine, minimal coming and going, and a calm environment. A fenced yard would be a big plus for me. I love to move around, go on hikes or walks, and enjoy chewing on things to keep myself occupied. 🌲🦴

My little challenge? I can get nervous in new environments, around strangers, or when faced with sudden movements or noises. I also tend to jump, but with a predictable routine, patience, and training, I can continue to make progress.

I’m not the most comfortable dog when meeting someone for the first time, but once I’ve gained confidence, I’m an affectionate and endearing companion. If you’re willing to give me time to get to know you, I’d love to build a wonderful relationship with you. 🏡
