Hi, my name is Olympe! ✨

I am about 1 and a half years old and I was found as a stray. I am a handsome presumed Akita mix looking for an active and present family that will support me through my learning journey.

I may seem independent when I am exploring a new environment, but I also enjoy spending time close to my people. Once I feel more comfortable, I appreciate attention and enjoy a good cuddle 🥰

I am looking for a family with experience handling large breed dogs and who is willing to invest time in my training. I still have many basics to learn, such as sit, down, and stay. I am also working on a few habits, including jumping when I get excited, nipping at hands or the leash, and learning not to pull on the leash. Working with a dog training professional is strongly recommended to help me become the best companion I can be 🐕

Because of my size and energy level, I am not compatible with young children. I could, however, do well in a home with teenagers. A meet-and-greet will also be required before living with another dog. I have not been tested with cats.

I need an environment with plenty of space to thrive. A large fenced yard or regular access to open spaces is essential to meet my needs. Long walks, hiking adventures, enrichment activities, and appropriate chew items are great ways to keep me happy and fulfilled 🌲
