Hi there, I’m Mabella! 🐾

I was surrendered to the shelter, and I’m a beautiful mix of mastiff and guard dog. I’m sociable, playful, and very curious! I love exploring my surroundings, sniffing everywhere, and discovering what’s around me. Once I’ve calmed down a bit, I also like to cuddle up for a moment of affection.

I’m looking for a family with experience with guard dogs who is comfortable providing me with a routine, guidance, and training. Since I’m energetic and can easily get carried away, I’m best suited for teenagers or adults. Young children aren’t recommended, as my enthusiasm might be a bit too intense for them.

I need to be the only dog in the home, although I could get along with small dogs in my environment with proper introductions. I haven’t been tested around cats.

I need an environment with plenty of space, ideally a fenced-in yard and access to open areas. Apartment or condo living isn’t suitable for my needs, especially since I can be vocal. A family that’s home most of the time would also be a big plus.

I’m an active girl who loves long walks, hikes, and exploring 🌲. Search plays—especially scent work—as well as chewing 🦴 are also great ways to help me burn off energy while stimulating my brain.

Pulling on the leash, staying focused, and learning to better manage my vocalizations are a few small challenges I can work on with consistent and gentle training.
