Hi there, I’m Fuji! 🐾
I was found wandering and I’m a female Siberian Husky. Like many dogs of my breed, I’m smart, lively, and always curious about my surroundings.
I’m a sensitive dog who’s still growing, slowly learning to trust and bond with people. At the shelter, I’ve started seeking more contact and enjoying moments of tenderness and encouragement. I still need a little time to settle in, but I’m making great progress.
I’m looking for a family experienced with Huskies or active dogs that need guidance and consistency. Because of my strength, energy, and certain behaviors I still need to work on, I’d be more comfortable in a home with only adults, in a calm environment where I can grow at my own pace.
As for other animals, living with another dog might be possible depending on their temperament, with gradual introductions. I haven’t been tested with cats or other animals.
I need a home with a large fenced yard or access to open spaces, as an apartment isn’t suitable for me. Long absences cause me stress; I truly thrive when I can share my daily life with humans who are present and involved.
I love long walks, hikes, outdoor games, and anything that lets me move around and think 🏃♀️🌲. Chewing and stimulating activities also help me relax and channel my energy.
My little challenge is still learning to better manage my excitement and stay focused in certain situations, but with time and consistency, I’m already making great progress.
I’m up for adoption through the humanitarian program due to my age and the wear on my teeth. It’s recommended to consult a veterinarian to establish a dental care plan tailored to my needs; dental X-rays may also be recommended.
I also have some stiffness in my hips. It would be a good idea to discuss various joint support options with a veterinarian to help me maintain the best possible comfort in my daily life.
I am a dog with tremendous potential looking for a patient, attentive family ready to build a wonderful relationship with me. I could become a loyal and incredible companion for the right person. 🏡💕
*“Humanitarian adoption” means that the animal has special health or behavioral needs. In such cases, the 10-day health guarantee offered by the SPCAO does not apply.
