Hi, my name is Chipper! 🐕✨

I was found as a stray, and we’re still getting to know each other better, but one thing is certain: I have boundless energy and a big heart ready to love! I’m probably a mix of husky, shepherd, or hound—it’s hard to say, but what’s clear is that I’m made for an active family that loves to move around as much as I do.

I could be suitable for a first-time adoption if my humans are willing to invest time in my training and take dog classes if necessary, especially to channel my enthusiastic teenage behavior. I could work well with children 6 years and older, but since I jump, sometimes bump into people, and nip when I’m excited, good management and barriers will be necessary when supervision is not possible.

I could possibly get along with other dogs, although I haven’t been tested yet; a companion of the opposite sex would be preferable, with gradual introductions, breaks, and careful supervision at first. I have not yet been evaluated with cats or other animals.

I dream of a very active family that sets aside time every day to train me, play with me, and stimulate my brain! Apartments are not for me: I can be vocal when I am frustrated or don’t get what I want, and I really need a large fenced yard to stretch my legs. When it comes to exercise, we’re speaking of several hours a day—long hikes, running, dog sports, intense plays, and mental stimulation will bring me happiness! Not to mention lots of things to chew on to keep me busy 🦴.

I will need basic training, housebreaking, leash walking, recall, and essential commands. A professional dog trainer is highly recommended to help me become the best dog I can be. Good news: I am easy to handle for grooming, even though I can get very excited when I get overexcited!

Right now, I’m mainly working on pulling on the leash, jumping on people, and vocalizing when I get too excited. My future adopters will need to continue my training, as I’m not yet familiar with the rules of family life. I love to run, sniff around, explore every nook and cranny, and get my back scratched… in short, enjoy life to the fullest!

I am a dog full of potential, ready to flourish with committed, patient, and athletic humans. If you are looking for an adventure partner who will follow you on all your outings, I could be the one to make your heart beat a little faster! 💛🐾
