Hi, I’m Leon! 🐾

I’m a beautiful sheepdog, lively, intelligent, and loyal. I was surrendered to the shelter because my previous family wasn’t a good match for me—I’m a sensitive and energetic dog, and I need an environment suited to my dynamic personality.

I am looking for an experienced family, especially one with experience with herding dogs (ideally Australian Shepherds) and familiar with leash reactivity. I have a lot of energy and intelligence to channel, so I dream of an active life where I can run, learn, and challenge myself. Hiking, dog sports, play, and daily mental stimulation will bring me happiness!

I could get along with some dogs, especially those of the opposite sex, if introductions are done gradually. However, I am not compatible with cats or small animals—my prey drive is very strong! 🐿️

I would be the ideal companion for an adult or family living in a house in the country with a large fenced yard. A calm environment, without too much coming and going, would help me relax and gain confidence.

I can be a little reactive on a leash or nervous when being handled, but with gentleness, patience, and the help of a canine behavior professional, I will make great progress. Self-control and relaxation exercises would help me better manage my stress and excitement.

I am a humanitarian adoption due to my behavioral issues and am looking for a home without children, with adults who are willing to offer me stability and understanding.
