The SPCA de l’Outaouais is pleased to announce a special joint edition of its Marche des 4 pattes, to be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in collaboration with the Fondation québécoise du cancer’s La marche du Grand défoulement (Gatineau chapter).

The walk will start at the Fondation’s Centre régional et Hôtellerie de l’Outaouais, located at 555 Boulevard de l’Hôpital, Gatineau, Quebec, J8V 3T4.

This unique collaboration will allow us to walk together for animal and human well-being, joining forces to support both animals waiting for a second chance and people affected by cancer. A festive morning filled with solidarity awaits us!

A unifying event for the whole family (and your four-legged friends!)

Join us for a friendly 1K or 5K walk in a warm and inclusive atmosphere. You can walk with your dog, on your own, with friends, or with family.

Schedule

8:30 a.m.: Welcome, registration, distribution of T-shirts, and donation collection

9:45 a.m.: Official speeches and warm-up

10 a.m.:

• Departure of walkers with dogs
• Departure of walkers without dogs

11:30 a.m : Closing remarks and announcement of the amount raised

Parking is available on nearby streets and near neighboring buildings.

A few reminders for walking with your dog:

In public places, your dog must at all times:

• Be under the control of a person capable of controlling it
• Be wearing a well-fitting harness
• Be on a leash no longer than 1.85 meters (6 feet)
