With organizational guidance from <strong>Mathieu Fleury<\/strong>, the organization has undertaken a comprehensive transformation to strengthen its structure, operational rigor, and capacity to serve the community.<\/p>\n<p>This work has resulted in the implementation of a new organizational structure, the clarification of roles and responsibilities, and the adoption of modern management practices supported by performance indicators and accountability mechanisms. The adoption of the <a href=\"https:\/\/spcaoutaouais.ca\/en\/about\/strategic-plan-2026-2030\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2026\u20132030 Strategic Plan<\/a> also marks a major milestone, providing a clear vision and a guiding framework for future decisions and actions.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the Outaouais SPCA stands on solid organizational, administrative, and strategic foundations, allowing it to look forward with confidence to continuing its development and expanding its reach throughout the region.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past few weeks, a close and structured transition has taken place between Mathieu and the new Executive Director, <strong>M\u00e9lissa Cadieux<\/strong>. This collaborative effort ensured a complete handover of files, a shared understanding of the issues, and continuity in the organization\u2019s direction.<\/p>\n<p>The SPCA de l\u2019Outaouais is therefore pleased to welcome M\u00e9lissa Cadieux as Executive Director. A lawyer by training with a background in the municipal sector, she is known for her rigorous, compassionate, and collaborative approach. Her commitment to the mission and her determination to build, alongside the teams, a sustainable future for the organization are fully in line with the work accomplished over the past year.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Directors wishes to specifically acknowledge Mathieu Fleury\u2019s contribution over the past year. Through his leadership and guidance, he has helped position the organization on a solid and sustainable foundation. At the same time, his efforts have helped strengthen financial discipline and deepen relationships with institutional partners, notably the City of Gatineau, MAPAQ, and the RCMs. These now-strengthened ties position the SPCA de l\u2019Outaouais as a credible and indispensable player in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Directors considers this mission fully accomplished and believes that the organization now has the organizational and administrative structures and management tools to continue its development and ensure its full impact for the benefit of the community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The past year has marked a decisive turning point for the Outaouais SPCA.
