{"id":19169,"date":"2025-03-24T10:48:59","date_gmt":"2025-03-24T14:48:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spcaoutaouais.ca\/une-nouvelle-occasion-de-faire-steriliser-minou-a-faible-cout\/"},"modified":"2025-11-18T12:05:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T17:05:16","slug":"a-new-opportunity-to-have-your-cat-sterilized-at-a-low-cost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spcaoutaouais.ca\/en\/a-new-opportunity-to-have-your-cat-sterilized-at-a-low-cost\/","title":{"rendered":"A new opportunity to have your cat sterilized at a low cost"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Gatineau, March 24, 2025<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 For the second year in a row, the SPCA de l&#8217;Outaouais and SPA mobile du Qu\u00e9bec are joining forces to offer a low-cost feline sterilization opportunity to the citizens of the Outaouais!<\/p>\n<p>The event will be held at the shelter (132 rue de Varennes, Gatineau) on <strong>Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible citizens (see conditions below) will be able to have their cat sterilized <strong>for $75<\/strong>. The SPCA de l&#8217;Outaouais will cover the remaining costs and will also <strong>provide the microchip, the basic vaccine (FVR) and the deworming treatment<\/strong> for the animals that will be sterilized on that day. Places will be limited and allocated by lottery.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is aimed at low-income households in the Outaouais region. Households that believe they fall into this category and whose total income <strong>was less than $60,000 in 2024<\/strong> can fill out <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=KEIBckEBkkiAR9CXTZenrrwd0aP_rvZAtyx9AGy-y-dUNEs5WVkyTTE4UUVVMVJBVUhUMVFETTJSVi4u\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the online form<\/a> to express their interest.<\/p>\n<p>Each household will be able to have a maximum of one cat sterilized. The owner must be available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to bring the animal and pick it up after the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative aims to promote the health and well-being of cats by offering sterilization services at an affordable price for members of our community.
