PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week In-Person Events to Take Place at Local PetSmart Stores March 18-24<\/em><\/p>\n

GATINEAU, QUEBEC \u2013 MARCH 21, 2024\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 SPCA de l\u2019Outaouais has received a $12,000 grant from\u00a0PetSmart Charities of Canada<\/a>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0to help prepare more pets in Outaouais for adoption. An estimated one hundred thousand pets make their way into shelters each year in Canada. In partnership with PetSmart Charities of Canada, SPCA de l\u2019Outaouais will bring adoptable pets to two PetSmart locations in support of National Adoption Week, taking place\u00a0March 18 – 24, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to this generous grant from PetSmart Charities, the SPCA de l’Outaouais will be able to welcome, care for and find forever homes for even more animals. Every year, more than a hundred furballs find loving homes at the PetSmart Adoption Center!<\/p>\n

“PetSmart Charities has been very generous with us in the past and once again demonstrates its commitment to the cause of animal welfare. We are extremely grateful to have such a dedicated partner! Our association with PetSmart Charities allows us to save more animals by giving us access to an additional pool of adopters who also want to adopt responsibly and give a furry friend a fabulous life,” said Maxime Daigle, Executive Director of the SPCA de l’Outaouais.<\/p>\n

\u201cShelters across the country are struggling to keep pace with the number of animals coming in and need support from their communities to bring pets and people together,\u201d said Heidi Marston, director of pet placement at PetSmart Charities of Canada. \u201cWe\u2019re proud to support the SPCA de l\u2019Outaouais and the essential work they do to care and advocate for the animals that come through their door in need of loving families. Please consider supporting their lifesaving work through volunteering, fostering, adopting, or making a donation.\u201d<\/p>\n

PetSmart Charities of Canada National Adoption Week is a special time during the year. PetSmart stores feature adoptable pets to meet and cuddle in spacious areas, and staff and volunteers are on-hand to make introductions and answer questions. Potential pet parents can also learn about the products and services they\u2019ll need for the best possible start with their new family members.<\/p>\n
